Hydroseeding is a grass application process using a combination of seed, fertilizer and a sticking agent (flock) used  to install, repair or replace grass.

The process is a fast, efficient and economical. Hydroseeding is more effective than conventional seeding and more economical than conventional sodding.

The process begins by mixing mulch, seed, fertilizer and water in a hydroseeding machine. The mixed material is then pumped from the tank and then sprayed onto the ground. The material is often referred to as a "slurry", much like a soupy batch of paper mache. Once applied to the soil, the material enhances initial growth by providing a microenvironment beneficial to seed germination.

Hand sewn or seeded lawns can grow in patchy and sparse and SOD IS EXPENSIVE! Even if you know how to lay it yourself, it is time consuming! Professional installation makes labour charges extremely expensive. Sodded lawns have lines and can suffer transplant issues as the turf is laid on soil the grass was not grown in. Hydroseeding is a fast, easy and economical alternative to sodding or lawn sewing. Hydroseeded lawns produce beautiful healthy lawns in just weeks for a fraction of the cost.                  

 For an old tired lawn that needs to be freshened up, just call us! Some lawns only require things as simple as moss treatment, thatching and topdressing. Others may need a little more love.  We'd be happy to provide some adice and solutions. 

If hydroseeding a new lawn;  Fresh soil, a surface leveled to your satisfaction and a light raking. Do not compact the ground. If you need help with this, call us. We have all the tools and resources available to provide you with the perfect lawn.
